Illasan For Christ Community Project
Overview
Illasan for Christ Community Project is a Christ-centred outreach committed to winning souls for the Kingdom of God through the consistent teaching and preaching of the Word of God. The project is built on the mandate of the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ, ‘Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you’. (Matt 28:19-20)
At Illasan for Christ, we believe that true transformation begins with the Gospel. Through weekly fellowship (every Tuesday afternoon), Bible Teaching, Discipleship, Evangelism, deliverance, and prayer, lives are being renewed, hope is being restored, and men, women and children are being raised as committed disciples of Christ.
Our mission goes beyond preaching the Word alone. We demonstrate the love of Christ by reaching out to the practical needs of the community through feeding programs, support for the less privilege and medical outreach initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of individuals and families.
Ilasan for Christ Community Project is a field ripe for harvest where souls are won, destinies are transformed, and lives are impacted spiritually, physically, and emotionally for the glory of God. Through the power of God’s word and acts of compassion, we are raising a community rooted in faith, love, service and discipleship.
How It Started
Illasan for Christ Community Project began in December 2020 through a divine inspiration and burden placed in the heart of the set woman, Pastor Oluwakemi Onalaja, by the Holy Spirit to reach souls within the Illasan Community and its environs with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The vision first came alive through a powerful crusade that gathered over 2,000 people from the community. During the crusade, the Word of God was preached with power and simplicity, and over 500 people surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. It was a moment of revival, salvation, healing and restoration as many encountered the transforming power of God.
Following the crusade, there arose a deep burden and urgent need for proper follow-up and discipleship of the new converts. It became clear that winning souls was only the beginning and that there was a greater responsibility to nurture believers in their walk with Christ through continuous teaching of the Word, prayer, fellowship and spiritual guidance.
This led to the establishment of weekly gatherings focused on soul winning, discipleship, community transformation and practical expressions of God’s love through feeding programs and medical outreach support.
Since its inception, Illasan for Christ Community Project has remained committed to raising disciples, transforming lives and advancing the kingdom of God, one soul at a time

Where We Are Now
Today, Illasan for Christ Community Project has grown into a vibrant and impactful outreach dedicated to advancing the kingdom of God through evangelism, discipleship, and community transformation. What began as a crusade has become a consistent movement of God’s grace within the community, with an average weekly attendance of 900 Adults, 250 Teenagers and Youths, and 500 children. Many lives continue to be transformed by the power of the Gospel. Men, women, youths and children are growing in their knowledge of Christ and becoming committed followers of Jesus. The project has also become a source of hope and support to many families through weekly feeding initiatives and giving out of palliatives during the festive seasons such as Christmas and Easter, and medical outreach programs aimed at meeting practical needs within the community. By combining the preaching of the Gospel with acts of compassion, Illasan for Christ continues to show the love of Christ in tangible ways.
Over the years, testimonies of salvation, spiritual growth, healing, restoration and changed lives have continued to emerge. The outreach has helped build a stronger sense of faith, unity and purpose among members of the community.
Today, Illasan for Christ Community Project stands as a living testimony of what God can do when there is obedience to His calling and commitment to the Great Commission, raising disciples and transforming lives.
Future Vision
The future vision is to establish a permanent and expansive centre that will serve as a place of spiritual growth, hope, care and empowerment for the community.
Our desire is to acquire our own expanse of land where we can build facilities that will provide shelter, medical care and support for vulnerable children and families. A major part of this vision is to establish schools that will offer quality education to children who cannot afford basic education, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow and build a better future.
We also envision creating scholarship programs for the teenagers and youths within the community, enabling them to pursue higher education in colleges and universities regardless of their financial backgrounds. Through this, we hope to raise a generation of educated, disciplined and God-fearing young people who will positively impact society and fulfill their God given purposes.
Illasan for Christ Community Project remains committed to building lives spiritually, academically, socially and economically while sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with generations to come.
